Traded Up

Last March I was sidelined from my 1/2 marathon by a knee injury. It's now almost a year later and I still have the pain when I run. I love the feeling of freedom that I get from when I run and I miss it.

I have exhausted all options - ART, PT, quad strengthening, MRI, massage therapy. Today, I traded in my Mizuno running shoes for a pair of Vibram's. I'm new to "barefoot running" concept and I decided to give it a shot. The hardest part so far had been getting my toes into the right slots. They are definitely not the most attractive footwear I have ever put on my feet. I feels good so far so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I so want to feel the crisp, morning air on my face again.
