As we were driving home on Saturday afternoon from a birthday party, James & I were talking to the kids about taking "quiet time" when we got home. The kids obviously were disappointed with this option. There were grunts & groans up until we pulled into the driveway. I put the car in park and turned around to once again speak about quiet time. Before I could get the first word out, Jonah immediately said, "Mommy, you're hair and face are so beautiful today." He said it in such a way that was so sweet & sincere, I was speechless. James and I exchanged a thoughtful glance and I told Jonah "thank you". Then the moment was swept away by James saying, "He only said it to get out of quiet time."Damn. He could be right but I'll kept the sweet compliment in my heart forever.
