A little time for myself

Lately, I've managed to carved out a little time to work on my crafts. I've been working on alot of handmade note cards. I have been making them for friends. I love picking the colors and patterns. Mainly, I just love paper and I still love writing & mailing notes to people.
I also converted a plain lamp shade to a nice patch-work shade to fit in the theme of Jonah's beach room. You give me a blank canvas and I will make it beautiful!

Hallow's Eve

The many nights of preparing Jonah's skeleton paid off. The costume looked really good and glowed in the dark amazingly - thanks to three coats of paint. We had a great time at my Brian's party on Saturday and trick or treating in Inman Park on Sunday. It was really special for me to watch Jonah and McKenna walk up the sidewalk to the house side by side. They can be really sweet to one another when they want to be. I especially loved to hear Jonah say "thank you" to all the treat givers.

And now we have a bag of candy to eat. We have been giving the kids two treats after they eat a good dinner and help clear the table. When it's time to pick the treat they want, they dump the bag on the floor and pick through all the yummy-yums. Their eyes light up and they delicate eat their treats. Once in a while they share with each other. It has to be the highlight of their day!
