Dear Santa, I would like everything for Christmas.

The kids got to visit with jolly ole St. Nick this weekend. They delivered their Christmas lists and delivered a cheesy grin for the camera. Their list keep getting longer and longer. Every time we walk into a store, Jonah constantly asks me for everything he sees. I have gotten clever and allowed him & McKenna to take pictures of the items that they wants with my iPhone. Then I told them I would "email them to Santa". Of course, I now know exactly what they want.

Here's a sampling of what a 5 & 3 year old want for Christmas:
  • Cars from the Cars Movie
  • The cheetah from the Madagascar movie
  • Barbie princesses
  • Race Tracks
  • Princess crown & dress
  • Hello Kitty Pez
  • Legos
  • Pretty much every toy ever made.
Here's a sampling of what I want for Christmas:
  • Massages & lots of them
  • Someone to plan AND cook the meals for one week
  • To be able to have privacy will I'm in the restroom
  • An adjustment from a chiropractic and not the creative director at my office
  • To escape into a great book for a day
  • To find the missing TV remote (I swear the Elf on the Shelf took it to mess with me)

Try Something New

The new year is almost here. Why not get a jump on it?

Try something new for 30 days
Add or subtract something for your daily routine
You can do anything for 30 days, right?
A small change will equal a sustainable, lasting change/lifestyle

So what will you add or subtract for 30 days?  Here are a few ideas that I thought of –
  • No Facebook for 30 days (no posting, stalking, or liking)
  • Drink an extra 8oz of water a day
  • Learn a new joke every day
  • Turn off the TV at night and read for 30 days
  • Stop eating dairy
  • Journal every day
  • Stretch!
  • Stop complaining

    What's on your list?

Summer Recap

Summer has come and gone too fast yet again. We are back in school and the days are getting shorter and cooler. We traveled and played a lot this summer. The following pictures are only a few peeks at our adventures.

Thanks to you. . .

If you're reading this today, thank you. Thank you for coming to see what thought or adventure has come to fruition on this site. As a busy mom, I don't get a ton of quiet time to work on hobbies or be creativity. This blog is an outlet that fulfills my quick need for expression and/or creativity. I love being able to just be myself in this forum. I love that it allows me to be random too because life is random even when your a "planner" like myself.

Brother & Sister

"Siblings are the people we practice on, the people who teach us about fairness and cooperation and kindness and caring, quite often the hard way." - Pamela Dugdale

Dear Jonah & McKenna,

I hope you remain the best of friends throughout the years. I hope you continue to find each amusing and amazing. You have a special bond and it's wonderful to watch to grow, change, bend, stretch and get stronger each day.

Love,
Mommy
