James took them the first day of the camp. Jonah was shy and wanted a hugs from Daddy. Hugs are his way of trying to get out of the situation. Apparently, a teacher noticed and swept him and McKenna away to play with stickers. First day ended with smiles and fun stories. They had separated the kids by age group. McKenna told me that this made her sad because she wanted to stay with her brother. So sweet!

The Performers
Our
kids have various camps scheduled throughout the summer. The first one
ended this week. Before I begin, I have to tell you how the beginning of
this week went starting with Sunday. On Sunday afternoon, we reminded
the kids that we signed them up for Princes, Princesses, & Fairy
Tales Camp - http://www.jitterbugperformingarts.com. Jonah
immediately got nervous and inquisite. New things are always scary for
him. He starting crying and saying that he didn't want to go. We showed
him the website and explained all the fun things they were going to do.
That didn't help. Nervous and upset as he went to bed and the same when
he woke up.

They
made crowns, necklace, t-shirts, shields, magic wands, and frogs.
Today, they perform all the songs they learn to a crowd of proud
Mommies. When Jonahs' age group performed, each kid had the opportunity
to introduce themselves, tell their favorite color & their
favorite Disney character. On Jonahs' turn – he stood tall, spoke into
the mic, said all his items clearer and had a huge, dimply grin. I was
the most proud Mommy in the room. You would never know that he is
naturally shy from the way he spoke.
