I can't express how much I love this kid... He is such a sweet little boy. Tonight we left him with Jenn Buseick and Sis while Carrie and I went out to dinner with some friends. I left a very detailed email message to them (on Facebook no doubt) on how to take care of him for the night. I re-read my detailed instructions for them when I got home and it almost made me tear up. The only reason for the emotional surge was simply because I missed one of my favorite times with Jonah.
Here were my instructions... Afterwards, he will play in his playroom with you guys until his bath time at 7.30. After bath time, he likes to lay on his yellow giraffe blanket (i guess that is what that is).... just spread it on the floor as soon as you get in his room from bathtime. We already have PJ's out on his changing table. Make sure you lather him up with lotion (on the changing table as well) before you put his PJ's on. He will need a full sippy of milk (in the fridge already) and 5 books. He might pick them out for you if you let him. Make sure he gets them for you.... sit in the recliner and ask him to. Not sure if he will as the new people might be too much excitement for him. But as he gets them (if he does) then count backwards so he knows he has 4, 3, 2 and then 1 book left to get before you start reading. Put him in your lap (with a blankey) and then let him drink while you read... after you are done with the 5 books, he should be ready for bed. You can spend some quiet time with him after the books, but don't spend too much. You should be able to put him down semi-awake and cover him up with 2 blankeys, turn out the lights and monitor on... that should do it. He may talk a little before he goes to bed, but he will settle down for the night. This is one of my favorite times with him... the putting him down. He is very sweet so enjoy it!
You just can't comprehend just how sweet this boy is until you see it or experience it for yourself. Where does he get this from? I don't know but I love it! The fact that he still rolls over to fall asleep on me before I lay him down is precious. I don't want to forget this feeling.... ever. And I wish that Jonah would remember this time we have together... because if he did, the bond we have created would be so strong.... I hope one day he has the same experience that I have had to share with him.

25 weeks
My sister-in-law & mother-in-law were teasing me today about the second child. How she is already not getting the attention that Jonah did. Yes, I had a very detailed blog for him. I took pictures of my belly every 4 weeks. And baby girl gets two entries on our very simple blog and I just took my second set of belly pictures. The time flies during the second pregnancy. I cannot believe I'm over six months along.
The second pregnancy is very different from the first. I feel tired of course. I had the 16 weeks of nausea. This time around I'm hungry all the time. I definitely don't exercise as much as I did with Jonah and when I do I'm so sore in my legs. It feels like a been riding a horse all day long. I feel like I waddle more with this pregnancy only because my legs hurt. So far I have gained about 14 lbs. I gained a total of 26 lbs with Jonah and lost it pretty quickly afterwards. We'll see how that goes this time. So I guess I'm saying it's not as easy.
James and I did get her room painted last weekend. At first, I didn't like the green color but now it's starting to grow on me. I'm devoting next weekend to finding a crib and curtains for the room. I've got some great artwork plans for the walls as well. I'm super excited about holding her in my arms. I hope the delivery goes well and she not swept away like Jonah was. I wonder if she'll be a clone of Jonah. She's a pretty quiet baby so far. She moves at night a lot and during the day I feel her hiccups. She's already loved even though she is not blogged about everyday! Tremendous love for my unborn baby girl.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...

Here is Jonah's second experience with snow... we was a few months old for his first experience... and it was only a dusting here in Atlanta. This year, we must have had 4-5 inches at our house. It was snowing chunks from about 11-5 that day. Amazing... now it is all gone just days later. Go figure!
Well Jonah is growing up WAY to fast. And his little sister is coming much faster than Jonah did. Seems like it is right around the corner for us! My how life changes... Can't wait to see my little girl! And to see how Jonah interacts with her... that is going to be the best part!

My newest niece, Erin
My sister had her baby girl on February 2nd. My sister is a pro at giving birth - no epidural needed for her. Amazing woman is she in more ways than just that. Erin is such a sweet and quiet little baby. She didn't make any noises while we were visiting. She slept for a majority of the time as little babies do. It made me look forward to holding our baby girl which is only 3 months away. Jonah was curious about baby Erin especially since James was holding her. He'll be a good big brother.

A Typical Night
I love coming home to my family. I get big hugs when I walk in the door. Jonah lights up when he sees me and I forget everything that happened in my day. The following pictures are a typical night at our house.
